Available at the Sydmead.com – Limited edition 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles featuring three of Syd Mead’s iconic images each containing a unique signed and numbered certificate. Once assembled the puzzles measure 18 1/4″ by 27″.

Biomorph Vehicle, created in 1979 depicts guests arriving via air-cab on a floating platform overlooking the Norcon Center surface transport interchange. This image is featured on the cover of Syd’s book Sentinel.

ART CENTER HOSTS PRESENTATION AT FOREST LAWN AUDITORUIM

On March 8^th the Pasadena Arts Center sponsored an evening lecture and book signing by Syd at the Forest Lawn Auditorium. The Auditorium is a stunning venue that sits on a hilltop overlooking Burbank and Los Angeles with breathtaking views. The evening included hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Syd delivered a presentation to an audience of almost 700 arts students and fans followed by a Q & A session and book signing. Thank you to The Pasadena Art Center and Forest Lawn for organizing such a successful and fun evening.

Gallery Exhibition – New York City

Starting May 11, BravinLee Programs will present an exhibition of 20 of Syd’s pieces. The exhibition will run through June 30^th.

Syd Mead | Progressions opened at the Forest Lawn Museum in Glendale, California, on January 26^th to over 800 attendees.  The show will run until April 15^th, 2012 and is open, 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 AM until 5 PM.

We would like to thank Joan Adan, the Curator of the Forest Lawn Museum, for all her efforts in making this show possible.

The Art Center College of Design has graciously agreed to co-sponsor with the Forest Lawn Museum, an evening presentation by Syd Mead on March 8^th, at 8 PM in the hall adjacent to the museum.  Seating is limited but Syd will be on hand for a book signing afterwards. There is no charge for parking, or admittance to the lecture and museum, but to insure a space, attendees are asked to RSVP to assure admittance.  323-340-4792 or Museum@forestlawn.com
